These designs were inspired by the 18th century embroidered textiles of Skyros and Epirus featuring harpies and roosters, the fantastic creatures which appear in the decorative arts of these Greek Islands. There are six designs covering the whole tile and eight centred smaller designs which can be interspersed between.
